Our Wedding Mood Board

If there’s one thing that I have found to be difficult about planning a wedding, it has been choosing my colors/theme. It sounds so simple, right? I thought so, too, but that’s a story for another day. Simply put, the colors you choose say a lot about you as a couple and the vibe you want your wedding to have.

After many Pinterest searches and paint swatch pairings, we have decided that our main wedding color will be lilac, accented by hues of blush, sage, and white.

Seeing as we are having an early summer wedding, these colors are perfect for the transitional time from spring to summer. They are also very light and delicate, which suits my personal preference perfectly.

As you can see from the mood board, the colors we’ve chosen have led us to a rustic theme, which suits our outdoor reception venue very well. This theme allows us to be more casual in our decorations and such, which is a blessing for a bride on a budget!

Overall, I’m absolutely in love with the vision we have for our special day. I can’t wait to see how it will all come together!

What are/were your wedding colors? Let me know what you think of ours!

  1. Those colours go beautifully together! They give off a very fun and romantic feeling — perfect for a wedding and, like you said, perfect for spring 🙂

My husband and I chose a rich plum, silver and black as our wedding colours. We were going for a fun and theatrical feeling to our day.

It’s a lot of fun seeing a couples vision come together for their wedding day. It does say a lot about the couple!

Best of luck with the rest of your planning!
