The Bridal Shower

Last weekend, I traveled home for my bridal shower! For so long, it felt so far away. The day of, I couldn’t believe it was actually happening. The bridal shower was the first wedding celebration, so it made things feel a little more real.

I was overwhelmed by the amount of time, care, love, and support that was put into planning the shower. From the decor to the attendees, every part of the party carried so much love!

A bridal shower wouldn’t be complete without party games! We collected rings, I donned an apron decorated with cooking tools, and many embarrassing childhood photos were shared. Winners of the games got to take home pizza related gifts or gift cards to various places. I laughed when I saw all of the pizza-themed gifts; my family knows me well!

One of my favorite gifts was a box of assorted wines. They were all labeled with firsts: first home, first Packers win, first pizza as a married couple (duh!), first fight, first Christmas. I can’t wait to share these memories (and wines) with John when we’re finally married.

This whole weekend made me feel so grateful for the people I have in my life. I learned that I am loved beyond belief, which is the best gift of all.

I cannot wait to share more moments of love and gratitude with my loved ones in June!

What was the theme of your bridal party? Did you play any fun games?
